We connect mentees with mentors across West Virginia to learn how to become better business owners. Through our web-based platform, participants can make connections and find tools and resources to help them identify and achieve goals.

Whether it is a one-time phone call, coffee meeting, or Zoom, or an ongoing 90-day connection following our framework, mentoring relationships will benefit all who participate. A mentor can help you with:
- general career advice
- information on higher studies
- technical information
- personal encouragement
- overcoming the challenges of COVID in your business

Mentors
- If you’d like to become a mentor, sign up through our mentoring platform.
- Look for an email with a prompt to complete your sign up by filling out your profile.
- We’ll review your application and you’ll be notified when you’re accepted into the program.
- Sign in and start exploring!
- Mentees can request quick connections or more long-term mentoring. You’ll be notified when a connection is requested.
- Once you’ve connected with a mentee, work with them to determine what kind of support will be most useful.
Mentees
- Mentees should submit their information on the Start Here page. Look for an email with the link to register as a West Virginia Women’s Business Center client.
- After completing registration, you’ll be invited to the mentoring platform within three business days. You’ll receive an email notification with information on how to sign in to the mentoring platform.
- Complete your profile on the platform to inform mentors about what you’re looking to gain from a mentoring relationship.
- Browse through the list of mentors and send a mentoring request to anyone you’d like to connect with. You can request a quick connection or more long-term mentoring.
- Check out the resources in the platform to get the most of your mentoring relationship.
